Using new and developing materials from a range of suppliers we aim to produce Furniture, interiors and fittings with a low carbon footprint. Weather it be
-recycled materials
-latest eurolight substrates
-reclaimed timber
-restoration
-using natural finishing oils
-carbon offsetting
or contributing to World Land Trust, Buy An Acre and CNCF's Tree planting projects, we always set outcomes to achieve when producing each project.
We understand that some of our furniture is made from rare and exquisite species of timber. Therefore, RPC maximises and enhances the natural beauty and individual grain of every piece of timber, and has a policy to manufacture only the very best furniture using these timbers. This ensures that our furniture will be a lifelong investment. We proudly believe that each piece of furniture is manufactured by high quality craftsmanship, superior methods and materials. Through this process, there is no reason to replace the piece.
What sets RPC apart from larger, mass producing furniture companies is the standard that every piece of furniture is made to. Mass produced furniture is generally not kept for much longer than ten to fifteen years before it is replaced. This may be due to poor design, or because it was constructed with inferior and/or cheaper materials. Mass produced furniture is generally disposed of and is very rarely recycled. A key factor in RPC's quality assurance is that we view each piece of furniture as a life long acquisition. Ensuring that every piece of furniture is strong, durable and well designed means it should not need replacing. Renewing an item of furniture every ten years creates a large carbon footprint that takes away the eco-friendliness of a single piece of furniture. The carbon footprint of replaceable furniture is quite large, not only because the furniture is being disposed of, but also by the carbon footprint required to replace it.

Organisations
RPC use different types of timbers from all over the world. Some timbers are from sustainable plantations and others that are not. RPC is investing in third party organisations that help control and keep better management of logging and supply of rare species. Although many of these companies are based in North America and Europe, a small investment can help make these rare species more sustainable for the future and help in improving the company’s eco-friendly image.
